Your dealer only connected the oil radiator to the coil. IMO, the most important wire was left out, the wire that connects the coil to the frame of the Spyder. That's where the second wire in the other picture goes.
bjt: could you explain that a little bit more? My dealer is only doing the first wire and it seems to be the only one described in BRP's bulletin. You don't think the radiator is well grounded? I really respect your opinion, you already save my b.. once with a sport rack installation tip.

I just got done reading a thread detailing this fix, maybe it was posted yesterday in the General Discussion? One key is to get a ground wire ran from the coil frame to the Spyder frame. The second wire, the one that the nicko has in his pic, goes from the coil frame to the oil cooler. Sorry but I'm in a bit of a rush now so I can't find and repost the link of the other discussion. Grounding to the oil cooler may be good enough :dontknow: but you may be counting on screw threads into painted metal to provide enough of a ground whereas a dedicated ground wire is a sure thing.
EDIT: I found the discussion, actually a re-hashing of the original fix (along with some extra drama). Its about half way down the thread.

I just got back from having the ground wire installed on my '09 SE5 using the BRP parts. The dealer was kind enough to let me take some pictures. Sorry about the quality on a few of them. As stated in a earlier post, there should be two wires, one to the radiator frame and the other is going to the ground point on the upper frame rail in front of the engine.
Is a weld nut used on the frame ground that one of the wires attaches to? I know someone said that it wasn't and it was a pain to get back on because of the lack of room. I reached back there and I thought it was a weld nut.

Nice pictures I'm Sure will help some people.
....If the purpose is to ground the coil pack, what can improve on running directly to the grounding post?
My suspicion is that if they think they are picking up RFI that they feel the radiator can be acting as an antenna, either broadcasting the normal RFI that comes off the coils, or amplifying it, and transmitting it to the electronics.I understand the ground wire going to the grounding bolt on the frame. But why the 2nd wire going to the radiator frame?
