• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ground battery connection loose, how to tighten??

Does anyone see an issue with adding a split type lock washer to both battery terminals ??? Seems like that would assist in prevention of loose battery connections.

No there is no problem with doing that but this isn't the connection he is talking about. This was a deliberately loosened connection and the nut is inaccessible so the bolt just spins after a certain point and can't be taken off or re tightened without taking some tupperware off or making a special tool. Which BTW didn't work for me. I ended up taking off tupperware and moving the battery.

The question is, does the battery cable go straight to the starter or does it go from the battery to the secondary connection and then to the starter?
If you leave the connection lose, will the Spyder have trouble starting eventually? I started it with no issues at all.

i realize help is just a type away.--irv:)

I found that a socket in an electric drill motor or a small impact driver will tighten the bolt. The faster the drill turns the better. It's the quick start of the drill or impact driver that does the trick.

I will try that today, hope it works for me:pray:
