• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Greece and the EU

So is Greece "circling the bowl" again?
They're talking about a trillion dollar hit over in Europe of they go toes up...:yikes:

Watch this one very carefully. If they go belly up it will collapse the EU system, and ours will follow.

To many countries have been printing fake money for to long and the house of cards is very flimsy.

News of a European collapse will cause the stockmarket to plummet and will have adverse affects once again on our investmet portfolios. It will take a day or less.

This is inevitable IMO. You can't spend your way out of the :cus: bowl. Maybe it needs to happen and we can return to a govt and country that respects the constitution:dontknow:

I've Been looking for a reason to head to Alaska and do my own gold rush thing, when they go down gold is going up.

Actually, spending your way out of such a situation has worked quite well in the past... worked for the US after the Great Depression, and every recession ever since.

Sure hope they can get this under control. We are doing much better here and I'd hate to see us take a step backwards.....

Actually it took WW 2 to get us out of the Great Depression, Remember the sneak ;) ;) attack at Pearl.

Do you think that a good old-fashioned World War will solve the mess??
I keep hoping that folks over there will realize that it took them years to screw it all up so bad, and now it'll take years of sacrifice to make things right... :gaah:
And it the meantime... we all take it in the neck! :banghead:

No body is going to sacrifice, Entitlements is just a P C name for give a ways [welfare], So no politician is going vote against it. Just on SS alone with all the added entitlements alone what politician will cut that, instead they'll just raise the retirement age and let your grandchildren worry about it.., It was never meant to retire on, It was meant to supplement what you saved, I'm tired of hearing people say ''I can't live on SS'' .

It hasn't at the rate of outrageous spending we are currently experiencing, I don't think more is going to help. Different times. Our debt is totally out of control, borrowing .42 on the dollar, china buying most of it. At some point this will be the biggest "bubble" to burst. Our grandkids, kids will be cleaning up this mess for a very long time. Yet, this congress still hasn't passed a budget...unreal.nojoke

The welfare state has not worked anywhere and it certainly isn't going to work here either. JMOnojoke

You know, I read an amazing article online about how retiring to the central american area is very affordable and tropic and basically shamazing. Given that, wonder what a third world country island costs these days...

We could make a hippee spyderlovers community, Hey Lamont, see if BRP will hold events in Spyderland if we buy an island and form a huge motorcycle (trike) commune.

Well, I won't get into this any more out here-- you can PM me if you want.... but actually our spending isn't outrageous at all - it's much lower than previous bosses have spent....

Things are getting better... all the numbers point to a strong, but slow recovery.
