• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Great day for a ride Sunday so my wife and I headed out on the Spyder. I had a mission in mind. One was to finally visit the Idaho Bird of Pray. Two was to get more practice riding 2 up. Three was to achieve the 600 mile mark for my new Spyder RT-s so I could get it to the dealer for it's required checkup and oil change. ( I will be doing my own from now on) Mission accomplished for all three. Nearing the end of the ride however the unit went into the limp mode. I noticed the temp guage was bottomed out dead COLD. I managed to get home since we only had about two miles to go and I parked it outside the garage, took the key out and went inside and had a cold beer. About a 1/2 hour later I went out to put the Spyder back into the garage and it started normal and was no long in the limp mode and the temp guage (after running for 15 min) looked normal.
Could this be a stuck thermostat? I will be sure to let the dealer check it out Tuesday when it goes in for the 600 mi service.
We love Spyderlovers.... great people with great info. Can't wait to meet you all at Spyderfest. It's going to be our first.

 Sorry to hear that your bike started walking with a limp.
Did you try to pull up any active error codes?
Just guessing here; it might have something to do with the unusual temperature readings. Perhaps you've got a sensor that's gone a bit wonky...
Please let us know what your dealer finds. good Luck!!
