Called an audible Saturday morning in lieu of doing yard work. Road trip party of one "Yes please!" Just took off on the "Beast" to see where the road and wind took me. Took off from Belmont...it was in the 90's. Took 27 through Lincolnton, up 18 into Morganton. Stopped at Catawba Valley Brewery and had a small flight of a few brews...and some good conversation with the head brewer. Then headed up 181. This road was curvy and beautiful, just like I like my women! 
Hopped onto the Blue Ridge Parkway...it had to be 15 degrees cooler up there, not a cloud in the skies. Jumped off in Blowing Rock, had a quick lunch, then 321 back home. Such a great ride. Saw about half a dozen Spyders in all. Spyder performed perfectly! Love this machine.
