There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Great Ride Yesterday

Decided to make my son (Alex) come with me on a ride yesterday and used a little bait to get him to go. ;)

I told him that he may be able to meet the owner of the Miami Dolphins (Wayne Huizenga) as he was a friend of Tim's (one2doo) and we were going over there to look at some work he needed done. Tim sells boats and boat docks and Wayne is just down the lake from one of Tim's places.
Then I told him that we could ride some of Tim's Seadoo's at the lake after the ride to Shady Valley. He was all for that. He worked till midnight after a full day in school the day before so he really wanted to sleep in :coffee: but a chance to ride a Seadoo pushed him over the edge. :doorag:

We took off from Greeneville TN and headed for Tims place in Butler TN. It's about 1.5 hours from my place.

The weather was perfect and the Spyder was running great. This was the first all day ride I did two-up on the Spyder and it felt pretty good. Alex was a great passenger and really made it easy on me. Having that Corbin backrest made a big difference for him. The last time we went on a little ride all he had was the grab rails.

We hooked up with Time and the gang at his shop and headed over to his mom's place just down the road. It was incredibly beautiful but I forgot to get pictures, as a matter of fact I didn't get many pics at all that day.:banghead::opps:

From there we went to Wayne's place. Here's a shot of the gang at his place.

We hungout there for a bit and Tim showed me some of Wayne's toys that he sold him. You can see the pics here.

After that we took off for some great riding on 421. The cops weren't too thick and we all had a great time. When we got to Shady Valley and parked we were swooped on by a bunch of folks. We handed out cards and answered questions for a while but then went to get a burger and a dog. We could have been there for hours answering questions but we had places to go and people to see. :doorag:

From there we went back to Tim's place and rode the jet-skies. I had never been on one and neither had Alex. I got to tell you it was a blast. The one I rode had 200+ hp with a supercharger and man did that thing fly. 70 mph on the water is a rush.:2thumbs:

Alex had the time of his life and got olé dad soaked to the bone. All in all it was one of the best days I've had in a long time and it was good to spend it with my son and my new Spyder friends. :doorag:

That sounds like a great time, Lamont! Does your son like riding on your other bikes? I can imagine when my Spyder arrives, my nephew is going to want to go riding! He just turned 6. I think, he might need to wait a little while, though. :D

He likes it but he now wants me to take the 109 with him riding the Spyder. Maybe next week. :doorag:

Cool! So, he's in his teens, then. I can only imagine!!! It's hard enough for me to stay away from the dealer to take the Spyder demo out for yet another ride while I'm waiting for mine to arrive!!!!

That sounds like a great day spent with your son. The TN lake area there looks absolutely beautiful! Makes me want to come down there!

Thanks for sharing.

I was just checking out real estate there online.... compared to where I live you get a lot for your money.... they didn't list taxes though but I'm sure they are less than where I live... we pay outrageous taxes.

Land taxes here on the lake are not to bad. I know a 3 acres on the lake runs close to $1000 per year I have heard. My place is only an 1 acre and I pay around $275.00 a year. We also have no state income tax but out sales tax is 9.25%.

...not to get too far off topic;

It's nice here! I'm 45 miles from downtown Memphis. Country living is good here. I have 1.7 acres with a 2,500 sq. ft. home sitting on it.

It's pretty here, with lots of nice 2 lane back country roads. :) But, as you head east it gets even prettier. Gatlinburg, and the areas around it are gorgeous, for sure. If you head west of here into Arkansas, there is a lot of beautiful country as well, with nice lakes, too.

Great Ride

Lamonte, my wife and I really enjoyed the day and seeing how well the Spyders handled on the road, just makes us more anxious to get our SE5. The public response to the spyder at the meet was impressive. The fellowship with everyone was great. I have some good photos of the meet with the people asking you questions and of your bike and trailer from the rear on the winding roads.

It was extracool having a Vett bringing up the rear of our group. :doorag: If you cold send me those pics that would be cool too. It will be great to see you and the wife on your red SE :2thumbs:
