• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There is absolutely no reason for this post except to say thank you to all of you out there! It's been an interesting couple of years, two Spyders ('09 RS, '12 RT-S) and lots of Farkles some good some bad. Tons of hours in the garage try to make things fit and work. Hiding stuff I ordered from Spyderlovers and Vendors from the Wife and failing miserably! Going on lots of rides some great some cold and wet and in every case sharing it with this great community of truly weird people who have absolutely nothing in common except for the love of a very strange machine that did not exist five years ago! Hope my posts have helped some and not ticked off too many, anyway on to the next 1,000!

Congrats on 1000:yes:

There really are 2 kinds of rides that you get when you purchase a Spyder. One is on the road, and the other is here on the boards...

Both are unique!

:congrats:

Awesome..!!

Congrats on this mile stone (sorry no pin for that :roflblack:) but keep up the good work. Looking forward to many more posts be them informative narrative or just plain comical..thanks

All of those posts and you are still a senior member. Lamont should come up with something for making that mile stone.

More like a mill stone than a mile stone. I can't leave the house without checking the forum! It's aSpyder addiction. I think some of us need a 12step plan!

just kidding though, you get so connected with folks and some of their issues and adventures that you just can't walk away. Can't wait until the owners event to catch up with folks again. I just wish I could make all of the events.

I will tease the wife about watching some of her TV shows and she points out that is no different than me on Spyderlovers...man that hurts!

Its time to celebrate. Find your best fast food joint in Augusta and go for it.

The posting thing can be somewhat addictive. When I was working, I liked to take a break now and then--like Bob does. Now, I like to keep track of what is happening with SL in general, look for followups on past posts, and visit with the "family" on a daily basis. Now that I am no longer working full time, this has become a part of my morning routine. I am trying to keep my session to once a day though, with spring approaching (24 days officially) on the calander, I will be looking at new things to do with my daily routine.

I still want to play the guitar like "Chet", paint some Alaska pictures, from some of the photographs I have taken on my :spyder2: over the years, and perhaps have the two shiniest, polished :ani29:,s in AK. Time will tell how it all plays out.
