About to purchase a new 2016 RTL and would like feedback on the 590gps vs the 660gps any and all information is greatly appreciated in advance.

I bought the 660 a couple of years ago. works very good all the way to Alaska thru canada and back to florida by way of the pacific coast hiway and route 66.

I figured the higher the cost the better the unit

I bought the 590 to have the latest technology as the 660 has been around for a few years. The 590 screen is a bit larger which is good for the old eyes. I'm very satisfied with it. I did have to wait eight month for the mount for my Tri-Axis handlebars though which was a bit of a PITA.

I have had both and now have the 590. Both works fine but the 590 seems MUCH faster when in use. Screen updates smoothly and I love the bigger size.
