• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How much would it cost to have '12 RT wired for GPS? I've heard cost $1,000.

If you buy everything from BRP and get the dealer to install yes.
If you can install it your self or feed food and beer to a mechanically inclined friend you can save a few bucks.
Or you can get as cheap as getting a $100.00 GPS and mounting it somewhere.
You have a lot of choices. There are a lot of threads on the topic maybe do some searches.

Doing it yourself and you already have a Garmin 660 or 665 and cradle? Cost of BRP handlebar mount and the BRP harness. (I think the two cost about $250.)

Don't have the Garmin and paying the dealer? About $1,000.

BTW, it is easy to install the mount, cradle, and harness if you are used to getting into your Spyder.

If you have an iPhone you can get the app. GPS Drive and use that for the GPS :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
that is what I do and I have used it for 2 or 3 years, it works as well as the Garman
we have in our car.

Under $200.00 for a 1495 Garmin Nuv LMT with sun shade and blue tooth, touch screen and phone call opt than all u would need is a ram mount and a 12v power supply. I did mine for under $300.00 and it works great opposed to a $800.00 unit plus mount and power supply, your choise.

Iphone and TomTom work very well together.
I have a 2013 ST Limited that comes with the Garmin Zummo as standard, it does everything I want it to including bluetooth to my iPhone so I can make and take calls on the move, you can also insert a micro sim card into it and listen to your favourite music. This is all linked by bluetooth to my Ncom fitted to my Nolan helmet. All three options (satnav, phone and music) work together simultaneously and each one fades the other out when required.
