• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GPS sounds through headset?

GPS audio though headset

I just installed my Zumo 660 and I do get audio from the GPS. On the support harness that comes with the Zumo 660 there are two audio plugs. One is audio out and the other is Mic. Make sure you use the one labeled audio. I have also adjusted the audio level on the Zumo 660 so that may be one other parameter you may want to check.

I have a 11 RTS and have no problems getting sound in the helmet. However, when the cluster is set to external off, my CB still comes out of the speakers and the helmet, not the GPS or radio or IPOD, only the CB. I had to tell my buddies to watch what they said when we were in a town, as all could hear. But, that was only in the morning when the unit is cool, in the afternoon when it is hot, I receive nothing. Unit has been replaced once, and now BRP wants the dealer to; 1st replace the antenna to see if that will fix the problem, 2nd, replace the CB again. I just have to think that somehow this is very wrong, the CB is definatly not a new electronic device. None of the Honda's had issues like this, and the Victory vision didn't... come on.. it has to be how BRP is trying to integrate with the rest of the audio system.

My dealer contacted me today and advised they have been in contact with BRP. BRP have authorized more diagnostics and components testing/replacement. I will keep you all informed of the results. Thanks to Malcolm Smith Motorsports, Carlo, and BRP for trying to resolve this issue for us.

My dealer, Richardson Motor Sports, Texas indicates that the GPS audio should come out the external speakers. I did a test a little while ago and it seems like the GPS audio is coming from all 4 speakers. With my poor hearing, I can't tell if there is "faint" audio in my helmet headset. I believe that if everything is "computerized" then whoever does the programming of the firmware could rewrite some code so the the system could be flashed with the upgraded code to get sound through the headsets.

Has anyone gotten the PTT cord for the passenger so they can talk on the CB? How well does it work?
:bdh:

Your right, maybe I am beating a dead horse. So, not to tie up anymore thread time, if anyone would like to stay in touch regarding the GPS external speakers/helmet please send a PM. Thanks everyone.

PS: I bought the passenger PTT in-line cord but haven't had a change to use it yet.
