• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GPS RAM Mount

I put my zumo on the right...I actually find it easier to use there, believe it or not...

My most convenient mounting location for my Zumo was when I had it on the left side. When I got the J&M CB setup, I had to relocate the Zumo to the right side. I am thinking of trying to mount the J&M CB in another location and putting the Zumo back on the left.

Were you able to use a U-clamp there (left), or was it a clutch reservoir mount?

Well, I'm gonna pop for a proper ram mount for my Nuvi, but this $0 method really has worked nojoke

I just used the suction cup mount, and put it on the right gauge screen with a bit of dish washing soap--hasn't fallen off even with all the vibrations since last June:

Same as what dltang did with her Lowrance XOG.

It's interesting...you'd think that being on a bike that it'd make more sense to have it on the left so that your right hand can stay on the throttle...I actually have no problems using my left hand to control it...no problems with steering right when I do it. It does seem counter-intuitive, but I am more comfortable with it on the right...perhaps it's like driving a car. There is always more of a right-looking bias when you look in your rear-view mirror or right outside mirror (check blindspot). To look left, you just glance quickly.

I find that eyes naturally trail to the right more than the left, just like reading notes and typing from them...most everyone puts the documents on the right...

I have included pictures of my console mounted RAM ball mount and GPS holder. I also, depending on teh weather replace the GPS holder with a Aqua waterproff case.

did mine on the left side by the cluch

hey did both ipod and gps off the left side with ram parts if ya want pics or more holla atcha ya boy!

I navigate the screens and adjust my music on the GPS a lot more than I have to fiddle with the CB. Its just as easy for me to glance to the left as it is to glance to the right but it feels a lot better to just lift my left hand a few inches to touch the GPS screen instead of reaching across my body to touch the screen.

I think the posters looking for help have SE5s, so no clutch. It's easy if you have a clutch fluid reservoir, but options are more limited with the electronic shift versions.

Bruce

Can someone provide the clutch reservoir RAM mount p/n?

Thanks

Here is my setup. It works great for me.

Looks nice. Sometimes seeing the Kewlmetal setup with its specialized GPS, phone, etc. mounts has me considering going with their console and bars. I really like the center piece they made for you.

I have a Nuvi 750 that I will use on my Spyder my 2610 is too big and look bulky, I have been using the suction cup glass mount that came with it in the car for some time and it never came off until I took it off. I wonder if I can use this mount on the Spyder windscreen will it be secure I did put the suction mount on the windscreen ( a F1 screen) and left it on it for three days and boy it sure still holds strong I just wonder about the other part that get attach to the glass mount with that snap ball is that secure. The mount I am talking about look like this,

dltang rides with her GPS attached by suction cup to the dash display covering the speedometer. Never had a problem with it falling off in any weather at any distance. We went from Mich. to Tenn., all around lamonster's neck of the woods, and back to Mich. with it stuck there.
