GPS Question on 2016 RT Limited

So I have purchased a new to me 2016 RT limited, to replace my totalled out 2010 RT.

From what I gleaned in days of internet searching, when new, the 2016 Limited comes with a Garmin nuvi 660 gps. It was not on mine by the time I got it. Are there other gps that will work with the official connector/bracket on the Spyder? How would I tell?

Garmin 590 came standard on my 2017 I am not sure if that will work, I have seen some 660 for sale on this site maybe search in the WTB and for sale forum. If you are near a decent Can Am dealer take your Spyder there and ask if they have a 2017 RTL on their floor and see if they will let you test the 590 on your Spyder to see if it will work.

I don't think the 590 will fit. If you search ebay and any Garmin reseller you will find one at a decent price. You should be able to get one between $200 and $300. I lost mine. I still don't know how. I paid $300 for my 660 used but in the box with all original hardware. Tho not a Spyder specific Garmin it worked just fine in the Spyder cradle. I did have the seller release it so I could register it with Garmin and get the free updates(the 660LM comes with lifetime maps but it has to be registered to you). I like mine tho some don't or have changed the mounting location.

Why wasn't the 660 zumo included? That's a discontinued model now. You may be able to get one on Ebay.

The 660 and 665 use the same cradle.
The 590 requires a different cradle.
I know, pretty stupid, but there you have it.
The BRP edition of the Garmin 660 has some specific files in it.
There is a file for BRP dealers.
There is also an srf file that allows you to pick a Spyder for your vehicle icon.
Both files are available online.

i have a 2013 rt limited it came with a 590 on it
i also have older 660 and a 665 with xm radio capabilities
they will fit the 590 mount but the 590 has no xm so the mount is not wired for the xm
everthing else works
