• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GPS mounting

OK,
I just picked up a Zumo 550 for an insanely low price from a big box store. It is missing the mount piece that goes to the Spyder.

Does anyone have any suggestions where to mount it and the XM antenna for it?

I would like to where you mounted your GPS and why.

Thanks in advance for your help.

:D:cheers:

Zumo mount options

You can go the the www.ram-mount.com web site and order the type of mount you want.

Ram-B-309-1 is a handle bar mount for either side and is the one that usually comes with the Zumo.

Ram-B-346U mounts ontop of your Clutch Reservoir (Left handle bar) This works well with the Zumo buttons on the left hand side.

Ram-B-309-3U is a ball mount that I use for above the center instrument cluster. Measure back 2.5 inches or so and drill your hole in the cover above the safety card.

If you do not have the GPS holder or the double socket arm (1.5 length works best) these can be ordered from Ram-Mount also. :2thumbs:

I've done 9 :spyder:'s so far on the Front Range and these are the top 3 location mountings. I like the Center mount best. I run the antenna behind the instrument cluster using 3M Hook and Loop tape. I pull power from the Switched Accessory section of the fuse box.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply.

Are you talking about the GXM-30 antenna (i think you are)? Where exactly behind the gage cluster? I under the plastic or between the plastic and windshield? :dontknow:
