This is a follow up to my post from last September. Back then I followed the advice I found on this forum and purchased the GPS interface harness from BRP and had it installed during dealer prep of my RTS. Well this never worked and according to BRP I needed to use their GPS in order for the harness to function. I was told this by two dealers. It took 4 months to resolve this issue and maybe they are correct because what I ended up doing was getting their GPS installed. Everything is now functioning. I was a little ticked off on the ride home because the same problems were present in that no voice prompts from the GPS & nor intercom function. Turns out it was operator error. I did not program a destination into the GPS and a damage upper helmet cord prevented the intercom from functioning. After programming and a new cord all is well.
:thumbup:A big thank you to Honda East's service manager Randy and the their Spyder mechanic, Dan, for being so patient and understanding and getting the problem resolved. Now I'm ready to ride so Mother Nature better start cooperating! It has been in the mid thirties all day with rain on and off and we're supposed to get snow over night.:gaah:
