• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GPS gasket part number?

The GPS mount is held in place by 4 screws that go through a slotted rubber grommet (groove around the outside). I lost one installing my Kradellock. This is the same style grommet (but different size) that go through windshield.

I don't even know the name of these grommets and my google searches haven't come up with a similar part (grooved grommet, slotted grommet, grooved washer, etc). Other than use two small grommets - one on the outside of the mount and one on the inside, I haven't figured out to replace this ...thing.

Has anyone got a vendor/part number? I'm always amazed at how this forum always yields SOMEONE who knows this stuff.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and look through their selection of screws, bolts, pins, grommets, spacers etc, etc drawers and see if you can find one that matches one of yours.

The diagram you've found doesn't appear to be in the area I'm discussing - I couldn't find an exploded diagram of the GPS mount itself.

This is the GPS mount which is held by 4 hex-head screws to two u-shaped connectors that swivel front to back.

Those are garmin parts and come with the garmin zumo motorcycle mount kit. (BRP repackages the Garmin mount with a BRP produced bracket) Garmin does not have a sepreate listing for those grommets but you might call them.

You're correct, those are Garmin parts. But, so far they are re-directing me back to BRP.

I'm going to try jegerh's advise of looking in the parts bins for automotive at Lowe's and/or Home Depot and see if I can get close.

Thanks all for the advice.

Afters several years on a Harley two of mine disintegrated from the Heat out here.

Those "parts" are NOT available from Garmin.

Like previously posted went to a hardware store (Ace) and bought a suitable grommet/washer to do the job.
Why they make a neoprene grommet that will deteriorate over time ???

In my next career as a motorcycle designer, I will have no black holes where parts can fall in and become completely irretrievable.

Last week I found a screw in a groove of my driveway. It was one that fell in a hole a year or 2 ago.

There is s separate Garmin OEM product support number, 855-607-2536. If you have not called and spoken to one of those techs I suggest you do so as they might be able to help.

The grommets are a part of Garmin Part Number 010-11270-03 motorcycle mount. Its a generic mount, not a BRP part.

OH .... I thought you meant the Gear Position Sensor .... not the electronic thingy .....:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
