• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. GPS cable through windshield support opening...

Kansas Spyder

I took a look at my RT and agree the best place to have a GPS is up on the dash. Has anyone mounted their GPS up on the dash (I'm thinking of JT's dash mount) and routed the GPS cable to a power source through the hole where the windshield support arms are? I would use flex ties to secure the GPS cable to the support arms to keep them from getting pinched. What do you think?

Cable

If you don't mind taking the windshield off and the top plastic cover you could remove the useless safety card and route the cable thru it. I also used JT's Mounting system.

Wow, thanks for all the responses. I'm going to eyeball what all I have to do this weekend but the JT route with the cable going through the windshield support looks like a good option. Now all I have to do is get the top of the dash apart as nothing can be as simple as removing the two screws on top.

You are correct. the windshield has to come off as well as the plastic around the headlights which means you first have to remove the mirrors, wind deflectors and the two top side pieces of plastic.
