• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gotta love it!

It was 114 on the way back from Yuma today on the Spyder. Gotta love it. The thermostat stayed a solid 5 bars, even at the slow stop and go at the BP check point.

So, you're telling me that the 108 and 109 degree temperatures we've had here in west Texas is really a cold spell in disguise? Joyce and I rode a while this morning but decided to stay home this afternoon when it was only 102. You and Jennifer are pretty tough. Only 5 bars on our RT, also.

5 bars on my RT also. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm going 80 or 30 it stays the same. It was 110 on my thermometer on Tuesday but it seems to read a little high.

New record

It was 106 here in Indy yesterday:yikes:. It hasn't been that hot here in .....well......ever. My spyder stayed at 5 bars and never got out of the garage:roflblack:

WoW!!! Teddy & I went on an American Legion Ryde last weekend & only hit 3 BARS

nojoke***OK, thread HiJak Warning ***nojoke

Last Saturday, Teddy & I met up with Kagey_98 at the Milford American Legion Hall for the "Ride for the Runts" charity ride. Mind you now, this was our (Teddy & I) very first actual "biker" rally as all of our other Rallies for the past 2 years have all been Spyder oriented Rallies. Also, neither Teddy nor I had never ridden a traditional motorcycle, so we were both rather naive to the "Biker" culture, besides of course, what is portrayed in the media.

Well, it was hot, not as hot as currently, but still sunny and in the 90's. Well, I had the sun/shade canapy prototype mostly complete and installed on Teds Red Sled, so thought we'd give it a try on this Rally.

Here comes my learning moment. I had (still don't really) no clue what the differences were between an American Legion Hall and a VFW Hall, but one thing I quickly discovered, they all have BARS:cheers: and it would seem, the majority of the 2 wheel ryders we were with, had no issues with downing a few at each of our stops. At the Milford one, I didn't see anyone drinking alcohol, and maybe that's because we had a police escort & it was only 11am but at the 2nd and third one, man o' man, they were  So much so, I didn't feel comfortable ryding in the group, and decided since we were rather close to where my sister lived, I didn't want to chance ryding back to Milford with them after the last "American Legion Bar Stop." So we said our good byes & headed to my sis's house.

Moral of the story: When its HOT, Teds Red Sled only gets up to 5 BARS no matter how many BARS we visit:roflblack:

Seems a lot of motorcycle clubs are nothing but an excuse to drink and bar hop. I have nothing against drinking. But drinking then riding is a no no in my book.
