There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Got the Kinks out "Ride Report"

Great ride today. I needed to really get on the road to get the kinks out of my body and to really test out the Spyder after all the repairs. I did 376miles only 25 – 30 of those were on the freeway. The rest was all back roads and Canyon runs. For those of you in So Cal, Ventura County, or Santa Barbara, County may know some of these roads.

Here are the details:

I left the house around 7:30am took 118 freeway to Fillmore via Grimms Canyon. Once to Fillmore I turned left on the 126 freeway towards Ventura. The 126 freeway isn’t really a freeway until you get to Ventura. You just need to watch your speed. There is always plenty of Highway patrol on the road. I turned Right in Santa Paula onto the 150 towards Ojai. The 150 is a canyon run for about 30 miles there are a few straight away where you can open the bike up a bit, but not too much. I stayed on the 150 all the way to Carpentaria. Where I turned right onto the 192 (Casitas Pass road). The first part is pretty much a standard canyon run, but as you get closer to Santa Barbara it turns into a more residential area. So your speeds are going to be slower. I stayed on the 192 all the way to the 154 (Chumash Highway). This isn’t really a highway. It is more of a Canyon run with a few passing lanes put to get around the slow movers. I stopped at the first Vista point above Lake Cahchuma. Where I talked to about, half a dozen people about the Spyder (a normal stop). After Chatting for a bit, having a smoke, I headed on down the road. I meandered around the Santa Ynez valley for awhile just cruising, looking at the different ranches and wineries. I stopped at the miniature horse ranch, where I realized I forgot my camera. For those of you that don’t know. Just outside of Solvang, there is a miniature horse ranch. But, what is neat about this ranch is they allow the public to come onto the ranch to see and pet the horses. It was something my kids, always looked forward too when ever we were in that area. For those of you that enjoy wine tasting. The Santa Ynez valley is full of wineries. I stopped to have some breakfast in Los Olivos at the Los Olivos Market / Deli / Café it was now 11:00am. It was a good breakfast and coffee, just what I needed. Back on the road at 11:30am. I got back on the 154 headed towards the 101 freeway. Just before the 101 freeway there is a right turn on Zaca Station Road. This was a road I have never been on, and I really didn’t want to get on the freeway. So, I turn right. This road turn into the 176 (yes another Canyon Run). I couldn’t believe this road, it was great. Long straights, various types of twisties. Most of the twisties were slow turns. It was very easy to maintain high speeds. The road was a little rough in areas. There were lots mores Wineries, even a few of the big ones. Fess Parker’s Winery is one that I remember. It had the largest building, the property was beautifully kept. When I was on this road, I only had to pass three cars, coming from the other direction there were a total of 10. This was probably the best leg of the ride. It was about 45 miles. I got to Santa Maria around 12:00pm. I crossed over the 101 freeway, and just sort of cruised around. No destination, No Idea where I was, just turned left onto this Canyon, turned right on to that Canyon. After about an hour I was back on the 154 (Chumash Highway) headed towards home. I stopped at Mavericks, a bar in Santa Ynez, and had a beer. I was just quietly celebrating my first big ride after getting my bike back. After talking to more people about the Spyder I headed on home. Other the leaving out the 192 on my route home I pretty much went the same way (got on the 101 freeway). I got home around 4:30pm

Total miles ridden 376.6
Total time according to Spydie 7.3 hours
Average speed: 51.8 miles an hours

Overall it was a great ride, and a great day.

Thanks
