• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Got some codes and flashing parking brake lamp

Went to Erie PA this weekend and when I went to unload the spyder the parking brake lamp was flashing, But the brake did release and I pulled it out of my toy hauler. After I got everything else set up I went back to the spyder and now the P brake will not release (!) still flashing. So I finally once packed a 12mm wrench and of course I needed it and removed the cable. I did notice how hot it was in the toy hauler and how hot the spyder was when this all happened, But after it cooled down a little I tried it (cable detached) and everything was normal again. * The motor was not moving to release cable, push PB button once just flashing push it again still flashing but would beep if turned off or tried to move yet cable never moved, when I turned on key the parking brake lamp would take longer to come on then start flashing*
Codes are: IMG_20190719_165121.jpg

Brake has been normal since then.........turn key on and PB lamp is on quickly not flashing..............

Thanks for any input and I know the dealer will say "cannot duplicate" BS so I better figure it out on my own.nojoke

I can’t read the numbers on your photo from my phone but here are two of the codes as I read them.

Also, there is a TSB for the parking brake and left side controls on the 18’s, I think that may be the problem you’re having.

P0571 = HBS switch fault
P1571= HBS deactivation fault
U0128= not found (in my list anyway)
HBS = Parking brake switch ... there have been issues with these recently. Check with dealer for replacement.:thumbup:

U0128 is lost communication with WPM or PBM. Since this is a RT. It is WPM (Windshield, Parking brake, Module)

Just an FYI! Can am of Windber is no more. https://www.cernics.com/ bought them out, so I'll see how cernics is and will be dropping the RT off this Saturday.

Thanks for the help everybody and I'll give updates when I can.

Update: Dealer cannot duplicate of course - not surprised or upset about it.(expected)

Oil change and Inspection went well with nothing than 47 smiles all the way home, and even got rained on the way home-seems to be the norm.

Thanks to Cernics for getting it completed quickly also, had it done in less than a day!

*and the firmware was done also*

Pb has been operating normal
