• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got mys Ram balls mounted

And they work great!

I used 1" steel pipe and cut 3/4" pieces. I cleaned them off real good with alcohol inside and out. Then I dipped them in Plasti-Dip and let them dry for a day. Purchased two longer bolts and used Ram mount number RAM-B-272U. I m not sure if this number is the correct size or not. I had two of these ram balls and one had a larger hole than the other and had to drill one of them out for the bolt to fit. This part number is for a 9mm hole. I have no idea what diameter the bolts are. Maybe someone can enlighten me! Thanks!

I used a 5" arm for the drink holder and a 3" arm for the GPS.

I already had the ram balls, the arms. The pipe cost me nothing and the bolts cost around a $1.50 each. So, for 3 bucks, I m a happy camper.:2thumbs:

Thanks, Scotty, for your suggestion.

side note: The shade on the GPS we made before our trip last summer. Its glued and velcroed onto the GPS holder. We traveled across Kansas where the wind was STRONG and our econo-shade never budged..cost: around a buck.;)

RAMmed DeLorme Earthmate PN-60

+I also installed RAM mounts for my DeLorme Earthmate PN-60 today, drilling through the rear of the upper dash, and incorporating the safety card as a second reinforcing base.

Parts were: RAM-B-349U aluminum M10 x 1.25 pitch male thread on 1" B Ball; RAM-B-201U aluminum 3.0 inch standard length dual 1.0 inch socket arm; RAM-HOL-DEL1U plastic DeLorme Earthmate PN-60 cradle; and, RAM aluminum diamond mini plate with 1" Ball

Before RAMming the GPS, I'd been carrying it in the window of my tankbag, but was uncomfortable having to look down, away from my field of travel. Now, I'm not taking my eyes off the road:
