Got a new belt installed yesterday

Two weeks ago I got into new chip seal and ended up with four holes in my belt. While the bike was apart we checked around the air bag base and found 5 sharp chips stuck under the bag itself that would have resulted in a hole if not removed. Soooo be sure to check under there when you do your regular maintenance and install a Missing Beltguard.

Here's what I would do...

whenever I have the spyder up for cleaning or oil change I check the belt and sprokets. You can pick up tar and it will build up in the grooves causing problems along the way..:lecturef_smilie: glad you found the problems early on and saved yourself a lot of grief...:thumbup:
