• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yep... A Gorilla on a Spyder!
Just installed the Gorilla 9000 alarm on the STS.
Very easy install and have it in the small area just above the fill cap - Remove the side panel and it'll slide right in.
Easy routing of wires to the battery from here too.

Set at the lowest setting, it doesn't go off easily unless someone sits on it, kicks it etc.

Perfect and under a $100 shipped!!

Good to know..!!

for all those who have asked in the past about alarm systems...thanks..!! :2thumbs:

Update on the alarm... it doesn't like the heat.
It goes off for no reason until the bikes cooled for 20 mins.
Might be better installing at the front or rear rather than the void under the plastic, at the side of the gas filler.
Think I'm going to relocate to the frunk.

I put mine in the left rear. There is a big space in there because in pre 2013 models that is where the battery was. Another thing I learned is the unit needs to fastened solid to the Spyder. No velcro, double sided tape etc. or the shock sensor will not work correctly.

Got mine on Velcro... no issues.
It (like the rest of is Spyder riders) doesn't like heat, so put all the way forward or all the way on the back.
