• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gorilla Alarm Question

I was thinking of getting an alarm for my RS. I have been reading the posts here on the forum about the alarms, and I have read reviews about them on the amazon. I have been trying to find out how the alarm affects the battery on the spyder.

My question is: Is there a constant draw on the battery with the alarm constantly connected to the battery, even with it not turned on? Will I have to disconnect it from the battery when it is in my garage and not being used?

There is a very small parasitic draw when turn off or on but I have had my bike idle over a week with no noticible drain. When at home I keep the trickle charger on so as not to shorten the batteries life by repeaded deep cycles.

Thanks! I was hoping that it was not too much of a draw. I just bought a battery tender jr, for the times I am not able to ride in the winter months, so it looks like it will come in handy at other times as well.
