• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GoPro HD2 sale

I have seen a few ads in the last few days advertising the GoPro HD2 on sale for $50 off. That would be the selling price of $250.
West Marine has the latest ad I just got. I saw REI had the ad also.
So, for those that have been thinking of a waterproof video cam, this may be your deal?

Do you have one Cavman? and if so do you ever use it diving?

I have one of the original GoPro Hero cams. No telling how many of these were sold and the company basically has no support for these on their website. They are in the third generation of these cams now. I need to get the software upgrade so I can put in a bigger memory card.

I used it underwater on the way back from Durango and the BRP event. That reminds me I forgot to download the card.

I have not been scuba diving for some years because all my wetsuits shrank. :banghead:

I use to shoot underwater video with a Sony digital video camera in an Ikelite housing and UW Ikelite video light. What a monster. In 2004 I started shooting still with a Olympus C-8080 digital camera in an Ikelite housing with strobe. See UW Bonaire on my www.pbase.com/AstroDiver page for some of those photos.
