There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

this is very cool! :2thumbs: i love chatting with someone i just met, or an old friend i just found, and finding where they live or work on googlearth! they get excited and tell me that its like i am standing outside right then...until i tell them that the pics were probably taken up to 2 years ago...LOL!
there is still streets that they have gone down too which frustrates me when i am looking for something (like mapping out going to Lamonts for the BBQ! i have gotten so used to mapping things out and being able to BE AT the place i am going before i actually go, so i can see what things should look like first! this way i dont have to rubber neck trying to find the right address and already know how things are supposed to look before i ever get there! this way i know what i am looking for!
i think this trike thing will be great! i think about those people who cant travel! they can go to google earth and see all those things they couldnt see before...and at their own pace! they cant experience the foods or people, but just being able to "cruise" down the road on G.E. is way better than just sitting in the lazyboy or bed looking at someone elses pics and interpretation of what they see!

maybe one day someone will get a Spyder at G.E. and suggest using it to do alleyways and back roads! that would be a cool job to have! maybe i should shut up and go apply myself...LOL!
