• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I did joe, and it cost me!!!:roflblack:

Are you going to be riding a new F3 for Spyderquest Chuck????? hmmmmm???

We almost got bitten when we looked at one last week. But, my wife loves her STL too much. Good thing someone has control in our family.

I was also looking at a new Valkyrie or CTX1300. In the end I decided to wait until next year.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack. :yikes:

A great ride yesterday. We had mid 50's until the clouds showed up. A bit of a cool ride back to the barn.

Well...we stopped by the dealer and looked at the F3-S, in orange of course. I told akspyderlady that it looked like the owner was gunning for me--since he had the one model that I was interested in--and--in my color. He is in his 80's and says he has an all black one on order for himself.

I sat in a chair and looked it over from front to back. Climbed aboard and gave it a good "test sit." I like the seat. The ergos were not set up for me. The pegs were about 4" forward of where I would like them. He has the U-fit set up thingy at the other store in Wasilla, so I did not play with the settings. I was smart enough not to ask for a test ride.

I like it a lot. It looks mean. Those were the same comments I heard from Akspyderlady. Easy for her to say, since she would inherit the 2014 RT-S. I am not going to be an F3 buyer. I like my RT's, but, I did try to buy the F3. I offered the dealer $500 and my 2011. He laughed. Then I upped the offer to $600 and my 2011. He laughed again, and that was the end of our wild and crazy negotiations.

There may be another 1330 RT (or bigger if they invent it) on the horizon. Will have to see how this driving season is going to go for me. So far, I am starting to hurt at about a hundred miles.

I rode an F3 not as a test drive but more just a curiosity. Plus my dealer said take it out and see what it will do. This one did not have a windshield on it and I will say simply, it is not for me. The up draft from the airflow tried to lift my helmet off my head to the extent that it was very uncomfortable. Maybe it is my height or perhaps a windshield would take care of it. A full face helmet would be a must. I guess I am spoiled from the wind protection the RT has.

Been riding since 3/17/15. A month early compared to last year. Started in high 30's for temps. Have 1000 miles on in ten days. Lot's of mailbox trips. :roflblack::roflblack:
