• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good to go, sort of.

Took the Spyder to the dealer last week Wednesday and picked it up Thursday. It got a new DPS, GPS, extension hose and update and had the belt adjusted to the new spec at no charge. Rode it quite a bit after getting it back and all seems well. Saturday was very cold and windy so I decided to install my 4" risers. I took a lot of the plastic off and I still haven't put it all back together because I want to do some other things to it while its scattered all over the garage. One of the things is to clean the oil out of the airbox. How do you get that :cus: thing apart?

You need to remove the console section of plastic. Then the 2 halves of the airbox are held together by metal clips, a couple of which are in somewhat awkward places. You may want to use a flat tip screwdriver to reach and disconnect them. Once the 2 halves are separated, you need to carefully lift the left side (left while sitting on the Spyder) as it is sort of hard to get it to clear the air intake tubes. Once you get it to clear, you can slide it out on the right hand side of the Spyder.

If you want to remove the bottom of the box too you have to pull off the crank case tube bottom left [cut the clamp] Snip the the zip ties holding some wires to the box. Then there's 6 torx screws holding the bottom to the velocity stacks, careful don't drop them . Then a little wiggling and out it will come.

Were you able to get it taken care of?
I got it off tonight. There was one clip I didn't see, the right front one that was kind of hidden due to a hose, some plastic, bad lighting and my own stupidity. Thanks for your help.

There was some oil in it. It collects in the left rear and then runs over the top and out the right front.
