Roadster Renovations

Just got back from a 4,200 mile trip through New England and down the cost through North Carolina and then through Virginia and Kentucky back to Indiana! Riding 2 up and pulling a trailer, we had no trouble staying up with the traffic, even the NYC drivers. The Roadster performed perfectly. We had not one single issue. Did not use a drop of oil. Transmission shifted perfectly. No service codes popped up. It performed excellent in the mountains, even loaded as much as it was. I have to say that the combination of the engine and transmission are matched so perfectly for all speeds and conditions of riding, they are just plain awesome. We rode through very hot weather, pretty cold (42), a lot of rain on a few days, and the bike just performed perfectly. We now have 11,000 on the odometer and about 5,500 on the rear Michelin Hydroedge. It still looks new. The grip was great either wet or dry. And let me tell you, we skirted NYC by about 10 miles (close enough to see some of the skyline), in pouring rain, riding with the traffic on those tight turns they like to put close to a large city. That Michelin never broke traction one time. We are in the process of going through the over 2,000 pictures we took. We will post them when we get done. What an awesome vacation! Now, where can we go next year? Hum........
