• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oh, .......... so I suppose if we were supposed to have met today at the Wheels Of Time Museum you would have wimped out because of a little deadly lighting. And I thought you were tough!! roflmao

Yowza!! ...... these are the kinds of conditions where I will be forced take the Frontier out, and leave the :spyder:in the garage; I guess. :(

And, for me working 28 miles from home, I know there will be mornings when I head off to the office in really nice weather. And, by the afternoon at 5:00, a storm will be going on. A buddy of mine here at work told me to get some of those Frog Togs for that kind of ride! At least riding in the rain on a Spyder will be a whole lot more stable than a regular bike.

Take cover partner, I may be from the west coast but I was in Lisle, IL
once when the sky got an ugly green. Next thing I know people are dragging us into the center of the building to take cover. Lie low and ride
it out. Best of luck.

Good thing for me I didn't promise to be somewhere. :doorag:

Yep, we just had the green sky thing

According to the weather reports the storm I had to ride through on my way home yesterday had 40 mph winds, I'm pretty sure that wasn't what I was in, but I will say the Spyder handled it excellent. My klr often left me feeling like I was tipping over in the wind.

Lamonster - Good for you!

I live in Florida and when the lightning starts to do its trick, I head for home. FL is the lightning capitol of the world, and it can get real colorful. Glad you got home OK.

We're in Central Florida, lighting struck so close to use the other day when riding home that my wife about jumped off her bike. Left us both with a funny feeling. Next time I'll play it safe and stay at work until the storm passes. :joke:

Been working on stuff since Sunday afternoon. (TS warning expired @4:30 pm EST) Lightning hit the neighbors maple tree at 4:45 pm and took out my grand-daughters bedroom window (flying wood from tree), broke 2 sections of siding and knocked a water bib off the wall (flying wood), blew holes in 5 places in our yard where the tree roots used to be, cooked direct tv satellite, garage door opener, security system, and ceiling fan/light on back patio, oh and tore the screen on the patio in about 6-7 places from the flying debris, my truck was parked in the front of the house and a chunk of the tree hit the hood and bounced off, another chunk across the street. :( missed the last 3 1/2 holes of the golf tournament on tv......jax, fl
