• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good on ya RT2012 lava Bronze Spyder

thanks

It's real easy, but tough to explain... :opps:

I have; on several occasions, knocked them loose with my head when stainding up! But that method isn't in the manual, nor is it suggested! ;)

Put one hand on the top of the mirror...
Take your other hand, and give that baby a bit of rap from underneath along it's trailing edge! :yikes: The top hand is there to kind of restrict the amount of allowable movement: maybe a third of an inch or so!
Once you've slowed your heartbeat down, and the mirror seems MUCH looser than it was; put one had up front (As a catch can!) and give it a shot forward!
Good Luck!

sounds good, i'll just make sure the de-fib paddles are available

No Problems, not even issues weather they apply to objects or not

Ours is a 2011 RT SE5 and it is two years old today. We only have about 10,000 miles on it. It went back to the dealer for the 600 mile check and a second time for the larger filter and the new side panel. Everything else I have done myself with the help of Spyderlovers. Tires are still ok, but when they get down to the wear marks I will put the Michelins or Generals on. Maybe by this time next year, it will have 20,000 and new tires.

Lucky !!

You know I read all these negative posts on this website calling the Spyders crap or moaning and groaning about every little thing going wrong.
Well here is a positive post.I purchased my Spyder a 2012 Lava Bronze RT limited on July 7 2012.That is 1 year and 18 days ago.Since then I have done 19200 miles on the Spyder.Over 10000 miles have been done Travelling to Spyderfest, then the Owners event and last but not least a trip to Nova Scotia which ended today with me arriving home to Florida.
The Nova Scotia trip was 2 weeks plus over 5000 miles riding the twistiest roads,The roughest Tarmac roads and 3 days coming home to Florida, over 550 miles a day, on my own riding interstates at fast speeds.Guess what.No problems whatsoever,no limpmode,no not starting, none of the crap I see posted. This bike has run perfectly since I bought it.
A couple of small problems which did not require posting.A slight oil leak. The dealer repaired it under warranty no problem, A latch problem. The dealer replaced the latch in minutes from another bike in minutes.A small problem bike cut out.We found a loose screw on the ground fixed it in minutes no problem.Did I post any of this minor crap.No.
On my Goldwing I had more wrong in the first year than with the Spyder.Do you know we simply repaired it no problem.
So for all the moaners and groaners out there here is a one year old Spyder ridden extensively with simply no problems.By the way I have a great dealer who looks after the Spyder.Central Florida Powersports.
:yes::thumbup:
ivor:spyder:
You are very lucky you haven't had the problems some of us have had. But to belittle the ones who paid $30,000 for a bike an expect to ride the roads but in up with it in shop over an over again? :hun: You have to be kidding :yikes: I bet if you were one to have had problems like some have YOU WOULD BE CRYING LIKE A BABY! SO COUNT YOUR GOOD LUCK AN IF YOU DON'T WALK IN SOMEONE ELSE'S SHOES DON'T PUT THEM DOWN :cus: BEEN THERE DID THAT AN HAVE A TEE SHIRT !!! PETE

All too rare to have owners with experience give a testimonial as to just how good their spyder experience has been, but there is always some ready to moan and complain, and usually without specifics, just wanting to slap the product!

I bought my 2012 RT-S just a few days before you did. I had an oil leak that the dealer took care of when I picked it up. Started really riding July 9th. Pushing 12K right now and loving it :yes::yes:. The RT has not been back in the shop since the 600 mile check. The dealer did some updates as needed when I would stop by.

:congrats: To all of you I'm very happy on my 2012 RT SE 5 and only 1600 miles and the only problem is I lost my right hand access tupperware. During my ride at 60mph on the highway suddenly the panel flew away. BRP said will not replace it for free. :banghead::banghead: .
