• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just came in off a 195 mi ride. filled up tank after (4.5 gals). That 43.33 mpg and I was running on reg. gal. That seem's pretty darn good. Hope I'm not dreaming.

I just got 39.6 on my last tank. The one before that was 29.3. So I am thinking I wrote somthing down wrong.:dontknow: Anyway the mileage is a lot better then it was before they found the vacuum leak (15 mpg).

NO WAY !! I'm calling Guinness's Book Of World Records ! :roflblack::roflblack:

I could never get that kind of mileage, not even down hill. I'm not saying it can't be done, just not the way I ride.
A little story... About six years ago while in the UP snowmobiling my gas gauge broke while removing the gas cap for a fill up. Not having a functioning gauge I was really taking it easy on the throttle to make sure I wouldn't run low on gas. At the next fill up I checked the mileage and I was getting a shade over 20 mpg. The way I normaly ride I average about 12 mpg. So I was getting great gas mileage but having zero fun. The next morning I went to the ski-doo dealer for a new gauge and that day my mileage went back down to around 12 mpg.

:agree: Part of our standard answer to the continual question
"How do you like that thing?" is

"We didn't buy it for the gas mileage!"

Never trust a single-tank reading---- average 3-5 or more for accuracy.:2thumbs:

OK, but I've noticed serveral tanks ago that it seemed to be doing better, thats why I checked it this time. Since the 15k service ( have 18k now) it's been doing alot better. I have been running regular (87) for awhile also, without missing a beat. I don't know want's going on & I'd didn't buy it for the milage either, but I'll take it.

:thumbup:

Should be no need to run higher than 87.
