• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

good alarms for RS

Just got the Gorilla Alarm model 1808 I think. Super easy install, works great and you can get a pager as well as an option , all for under 100 bucks .

Anyone know anything about the Scorpio Alarms? I know they are pricey, but do they work well and are they easy to install? This would go on my 2011 RTS.

I bought a scopion this last fall and just took it off last month. What pain to manage, set up and use, never did get to use it successfully. Next time I want something simple like the gorilla alarm.

Gorilla 8007

This unit sells for $79.00 at Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Autom...JGW/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_2/185-7568813-3105766)

Purchased this unit in March 2010. Basic unit, easy to install, easy to program and it has a full alarm and warn away mode.

I tend to use it primarily in the warn away mode so people know it is alarmed when they touch my RT. You have to play with the sensitivity settings but the instructions are pretty fairly straightforward. Oh yeah, one last thing, don't bother with the tilt sensor attachment unless you have the optional kickstand on your Spyder RS.:D

I have a Scorpio 900. jun at first. BUT, this small key fob does not hold a good charge. Several times i didn't ride because it needed charging, after just a day or two. took it off last winter
