There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. A customer came to me looking for a golf bag carrier for his Spyder with a stock trailer hitch. I'm attaching pictures of what I came up with, but would like your comments and feedback.

Looks nice, how about a photo of it on the Spyder?

Do you have a rubber pad or something to keep the top from hitting the trunk due to vibration or is it not an issue?

Looks great. Nice workmanship. The only problem with anything mounted on the Spyder hitch is that it is unsprung. The stresses will be high and don't put anything in your golf bags that are delicated. For sure no carbonated beverages.

Very nice work and fabrication. My Calloway golf bag full of clubs and balls weighs 37#. Double that and you will be over recommended hitch weight. I would be somewhat concerned but for a short trip to the club and back at slow speeds it should be OK.

I have been wondering how I was gonna carry my clubs on my Spyder. Now I see a possible solution. Keep us updated concerning price and availability. Looks good!

Yep, I agree. Tongue weight may be too much. Like the taillight. Maybe a one bagger model would work better.

do all of the golf bag holders require the installation of the big old ugly hitch assembly???? I'm interested in a one bag holder if I don't have to install the overpriced hitch, etc.

Wingnut23 Don't know if you still monitor this thread or not. Did your carrier design work well? I assume the taillight had turn signals integrated, correct? Did it have a quick release, or did it require tools? Are you still in the fab Business? My father just retired and I was looking for a good gift. I can probably find a fab shop local but don't like ripping off ideas with out giving originator a chance to fabricate. He lives in Indiana so we would have to either plan a road trip or get it freighted. If interested in the commission, shoot me an PM

Thanks in advance!

I just lay mine crossways across the seat and use bungee cords, have done that with several bikes over the years.

I doubt you'll get a response kosheets ( but I have been wrong before! )

It looks like Wingnut23 joined; made the original post here & asked for comments way back on 02-11-2015; then logged off the Forum less than a minute later and does not appear to have ever returned, not even to view any replies he might have received!! :dontknow:

All up, his profile shows he spent less than 30 minutes here on the Forum between joining & being approved, then leaving & never coming back!

So ko, I'd guess your chances of getting a reply are somewhere between 'not very likely' and 'no bloody way'.... and your chances of getting a PM response are probably even a little worse! :lecturef_smilie: So I really wouldn't be hanging out too long waiting to hear from him! ;)
