There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Gloves too tight?

My throttle hand feels a but numb from the vibration after about 45 minutes. I am not trying to hold a death grip on the throttle, and am trying to keep the rpms in the power range.

My gloves are snug as per advice, but not tight.

I am wondering what the problem might be?

You are human. Try this http://www.ebay.com/itm/29089955167...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648#ht_2497wt_756 cruise control, it requires some ajustments and some tiny whashers but it work beautiful.

might be your shoulder

I find that when my fingers are going numb I'm pinching a nerve in my shoulder is the cause
just my 2 cents worth but might be the help

This is not uncommon, tight gloves can be the cause but usually not. Even without a death grip the constant squeezing of the throttle can cause numbness and cramping. You can try a Cramp Buster or a mechanical or electronic cruise control to get some relief.

Lots of possible causes...your hand angle, hands clenched too tightly, carpel tunnel, your neck angle, your riding posture, arthritis, disc problems, poor physical condition, vibration, or even gloves that are too tight. You will have to try to isolate the cause and adjust if it can be done. If the problem is physical, it may require a visit to the doctor or to PT.

hands numb

When I rode back from the OE yesterday my throttle hand was numb. I did not have any gloves on. I have had this happen when I used to ride my two wheeler but not this bad. I used to put two fingers straight out on my throttle hand and after a short while it would get better but not this time. I guess that is what father time does to your body. I rode about 420 mi. home yesterday.

Lots to look at..!!

As mentioned there are many causes..I have found the palm throttle works very well for me. I can relax the grip stretch the fingers and give it all a rest without missing a beat. Not partial to any devise controling or locking my throttle. But then thats just me..try a few different devices and methods and you will find what works for you..!! :ohyea:

Thanks.

I will order one of the palm dealies after I figure which one...

It could be wrist angle, but I am pretty much moving it all the time. I will risk a ride without gloves and try it out also. I dont want a mechanical cruise control, as I have the electronic one, but have not used it yet as I have not been on a straight stretch long enough to try it out.

I find the gloves with the cushions for the palm and fingers help me a lot.

Edit: Is there a model of the RT without cruise control?

After my first long ride I had a similar complaint. I have the "onset" of carpal tunnel, and the vibrations must have aggravated it just enough to cause the tingling. I did some research, and bought some gloves from these guys - http://www.shocktek.com/
Been fine for the last 10,300 miles...
