• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Glove box won't stay closed - where should I go for a fix?

So my 18 F3L, when hitting highway speeds, my glove box just opens right up. I can push it down, but I do not feel a click or anything and is very easy to open.

Any idea of where I should go for a resolution?

I did email Lamonster's garage and Spyder pops about this and my saddlebag. But these issues are driving my crazy.

Have you had a look at it at all?

My F3 has a pin (sorry for the blurry photo) and a bit of wire like part on a paper clip.

That's what holds it shut.

There could be something missing or out of place. May need a lube. :dontknow:

Thank you. Could you get me a clear pic of that part that is on the door side? I looked at mine, and I obviously have the metal piece, but I do not see a wire on it.

Sure.

I suspect if you have no wire there, then that may be the problem.
They fit around the knob and sit in the grove of the knob and hold it shut.

If the screws are loose, it may have dropped down the hole. Or simply snapped off and gone.

Whatever, if it's not there at all, well, it's been said.

Are you talking about the box on the rear (trunk) or the storage pocket on top of the dash?

The storage just snaps shut and can actually be a bear to pop open.

Pictures would help.

I brought the bike over to a friend of mine. He had a clip that worked with the glove box. Once installed, now I need two thumbs to open it. It is perfect again.
