Givi V46 Top Box

I installed the Givi V46 Top Box on my Spyder, today. Now I can't figure out how to open the document case on the underside of the lid. There must be a trick to it??? Please help if you can.

I am thinking of getting the AdMore LED lights. If you have any experience with these let me know. How difficult was the installation, and which version of the lights do you have.

im assuming your is like mine, pull it down with your fingers.

did you have any trouble installing your tail piece after drilling the holes through it?

:dontknow: I pulled mine down with my fingers and broke the f***ing thing off. so be careful

It took a lot of force to get the document case open, then I could not apply enough force to get it closed properly. I think it needs to go. I'll write it off as a bad idea.

I did not have to drill any holes. I installed the Kewlmetal luggage rack and the Kewlmetal adapter plate for Givi, then I installed the Givi E250 base plate for the top box. The top box goes on and off beautifully. When the top box is not on the Spyder the base plate looks good. It is a nice set-up, but kind of expensive. The Kewlmetal parts are plug-and-play.

I've never been able to get mine open for fear of breaking something. I think I might just remove it to get more clearance in there. Great top case... crappy document holder design.

I wasn't paying for a document holder though.

Maybe once I remove it, I can re-purpose it or modify it to open easier.
