• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Givi Top Box & BRP Rack

Does the Givi top box, V46, go with the BRP R35 rack? It looks like BRP is not offering a top box.

Doubtful. I'd go with the GIVI SR770 rack, unless you have the BRP Sport Rack, in which case it won't work.

If you have the BRP sport rack , there is a solution :
I did this before my trip up to northern Quebec last year to get my Givi v35 setup. It carried my clothes and stuff just fine. I like it because its easy to take off and I hate the look of a rack without a box on it. Its been on numerous trips and abused to death and has been perfect.

I guess my intentions were more clear to me than my writing. My question relates to the compatibility of the BRP R35 saddlebags and rack to hold them in place with the possibility of a Givi top box and the rack it requires. BRP is not offering a top box. This has nothing to do with the sport rack, which I don't have. If I get the BRP saddlebags, can I also have a top box? - would the two rack systems conflict with one another?

Welll now thats clear as a bell , and I have no idea.... :doorag:

If you go to the Sport Tour web site, their fitment for the Spyder shows that the SR770 top case rack and PLX770 racks will combine to give you both V35 side cases and a top case. Since Givi makes the BRP racks, the SR770 top case rack should work. The BRP racks, even though made by Givi are a slightly different design, so the only sure way to get both to work together is to is to go with the Givi SR770 and PLX770. That forces you to relocate the turn signals to the rear fender or get the No Magic LED light kit for the side bags. Nothing in life is easy, but there is always a way as long as you have the money.

I don't see that the SR770 will be any problem with any of the GIVI bag mounts from any manufacturer. Unlike the I7 topcase rack, it mounts independently to the frame through the top of the tailpiece. It does require modification of the tailpiece and a template is provided. The Sport Rack is different, which is the reason it will not work on Sport Rack equipped Spyders. Looks real good on the Spyder, IMO, and gives you a nice luggage rack when you leave the topcase at home.

We had Kewl's top rack (with V46) when we got the V35s with Industries7 racks. Was able to mate the I-7 side racks with Kewl's top rack, with the addition of an l-bracket to hold the speed nut from the OEM tailpiece.
