There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Givi mount onto BRP sport rack?

I was reading the spec on the GIVI-USA site and it says that their Spyder mount requires you to drill into the rear fairing. Well, since I got the sport rack / back rest option, there ain't no fairing to drill into anymore.

So in order to mount an E52, I am looking to put a Givi Monokey mount onto the flat BRP sport rack using this mount I found below. Think that will work? Has anyone done something like this yet?

It appears that KewlMetal replaces the sport rack (which I spend over $500) to get with the back rest. I want a system that gives me a choice ... using the Givi case then switch over to just a back rest all resting on BRP's base (which allows easy on easy off simply by pulling the red tab under the seat).

I think if I can attach the above mount to the base, it will give me that choice.

I know of one person who did what you are suggesting and it worked well for them. I'm not sure if they used that exact GIVI mount but they did attach a GIVI mount to the BRP sport rack. Maybe that person will notice this thread and give us some additional details.

I have done the set up you are discribing. I used an E450 monolock
top case that came with a universal mount that I modified and bolted
to the BRP sport rack plate. I have 4000 miles on it without a problem.

Thanks Tim. I am going to search for that thread and take a look at the picture. The E52 is their newer monokey setup and the related universal mount (E250) got a too big of a foot print for the flat area of the BRP sport rack. I spotted this tapered mount for Honda scooter with an upward flair at the rear to accomdate the lip on BRP's rack. If the mounting foot print is small enough to fit inside of BRP's flange on the underside, then I can drill thru and muount it the way I like it. I am going to a Honda dealer later this week and see if I can visually fit the mount onto the rack before I buy it.
