• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GIVI Bags with a problem?

I just picked my New (used) ride. A 2009 Spyder SE5.

It came with a Set of GIVI V35 Cases both Top and Sides.

My question has anyone ever had the side cases jammed in place. When I turn the key 90 % the front case opens but when I push the rear button to remove the case only one side of the latch seems to unlatch. The funny thing is that it is on both the right and left side bag (same problem only one latch reacts and they are not binding as I can rattle the cases slightly when they are in place). I would like them off for daily riding but don't want to damage them by really getting aggressive with the latch.

Look forward to hearing from anyone that has has had same problem or with a solution.

I had one of my bags doing this after install. I hit the release with a small bit of WD40 and worked it back and forth and followed up with a drop of machine oil and it has not been a problem since.

I had the same problem. While holding the bag, use a rubber mallet and sharply pop the button. Back latches should release. I have tried the oil spray to no avail. And they do not secure perfectly and will be loose. But, they are tuff bags. Never had any problems with mine.
