Getting ready to order a Baja Ron RT sway bar?

I am getting ready to order a new Baja Ron sway bar and have a few questions for my fellow canadians who have ordered one. Is it Canada post that handles it on our end? (USPS from Ron`s) Also because it is made in US, I would figure there is no duties? Last one, if no one is home will they bring it to the nearest post office for pick up? Thanks in advance for any responses. Really anxious to get it, but I am not home during the day and just want to make sure I will get it.

Whoever has the answer to these questions I hope they will post as I was not able to give any good answers to these questions, though I have been shipping to Canada since 1998. I'd like to know myself.

I am sure the package gets handed off to the Canadian postal service at the border. But I'm not sure what their practices are.

I found out yesterday that PayPal doesn't seem to like it when US customers want to ship something to Canada... :gaah:
But that's the extent of my international law expertise... :opps:

Netminder, a lot of if's going on here but....

If the import duty, shipping etc is too much & if you can wait & if Magog runs this year normally in July, I'm more than happy to have you ship it here and I will put it in the trailer to bring over.

iffy,
harry

Really? I have not found this to be true. I ship all over the world for customers using Paypal. Never had any issues.

As far as I know, no Canadian customer has paid any import duties on my products. It's all in the wrist!

Perhaps I punched in something wrong then; I was ordering somehing that I was sending to a friend in Canada.
When I got to the PayPal part of the transaction; I couldn't complete it. :hun:
So I just had to finish it out the old-fashioned way...

If you are trying to ship something directly from the vendor to an address other than your billing address (especially Internationally) it may get kicked out. That is a Red Flag for fraud (though we all know you're an honest guy Bob).

I am not an expert but if it is shipped UPS it will arrive UPS.
If you are not home they will leave a note.
Do expect to pay for some brokerage but maybe this is different if not commercial.

If Ron ships it USPS then Canada Post will deliver it. Duties are based on value of item ( $100.00) is usually the amount that duties start at. Canada customs determines that, Depending on the size of the parcel the person who delivers it will determine if they can safely leave it ( between doors, enclosed porch etc.) or they will leave a card to pick it up at nearest outlet. I try to get my stuff shipped by the cheapest USPS method ( not tracked) because you have a way better chance of not paying duties  My sway bar took about 3 weeks to arrive (no duties) and i am planning to install it on Saturday
:ohyea: Hope this helps

Import duties are charged on both the declared value and amount of shipping cost. But as I said, I ship in a manner that avoids these fees.

I am not mechanically inclined and I am wondering how difficult the swaybar is to install on a 2012 RT-S. How long does it take and does it come with good directions.
