I went on a short ride this past weekend and got a P0131 error code on my Spyder. I did not feel any change in how the bike was running. Now for the back story...
The bike sat through the winter with about a half a tank of gas. About 3 weeks ago, I drove the bike about 10 miles and filled up the tank with Premium - 93.
Before I rode it Saturday, when it gave the code, I had just completed washing the bike. I had been riding about 20 mins before the code came up.
Also, the bike has less than 7000 miles on it. Seems like an O2 sensor should last longer than that.
Could water be the issue causing the sensor to malfunction?
I thought about disconnecting the battery to reset the code, then adding a bottle of Sea Foam and driving out the tank.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
