• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting my fix

I looked at the weather forecast and in the immortal words of Rattigan Roger, "MARCH SUCKS":banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

What was I to do about this ominous weather??!!!!:dontknow:

I had the mistress out last week for the road test, and have been itching to ride since then. I walked into the living room, grabbed the redbox movie that we needed to return (The Expendables 2), and headed for the shop. I put on my snowmobile gear and warmed her up. By the time I had made the short trip to the corner I was feelin pretty good. I headed into town to return the movie, made one pass through town and then proceeded to take the long way home. I drove down to Oxford, and took state route 220 back toward the house. This road is my own miniature version of "the Dragon's Tail" it is a winding, hilly road with great scenery. It was 11 miles into town, and 31 back home, and I am smyling today.
:D

Just sayin'......................

Because..!!

It takes a spyder much longer to pull in a web than to lay it out...and your in it..!! :roflblack::roflblack:

Glad you got in a good ryde..

I'm watching the NOAA sites for info on this pile of crud that's gonna land on us...
:gaah::cus::gaah::cus::gaah:
I feel better now... :opps:

Were all gonna die Bob.
We urge you to go to the store, steal food, hoard gas. If you are an elderly american, you will not survive this storm!!!!

Sleds are gassed and oiled, bring it on

The :spyder2: has a way of causing us to go out of our way (meant in a good way here). When I was working my day jobs, I would drive right by my turnoff ramp and go for another fifty miles or so before heading home. That way, I could top off the tank at the gas station five miles from my home, and be ready for the next days commute into Anchorage.

This season I am guessing that the trip to the mailbox will be the start of new adventures.

I forget where home is :dontknow:. Since the Spyder can't remember either, I have to figure out how to get back. That leads me down different roads until I see Providence Church Rd. again.

You're young and strong! Just come dig my RT out of the ruins, and run it like I'm chasing you with a flamethrower!

Couldn't wait any longer either

2 weekends ago when we were having the warmer weather....about 60degs..... we were able to go out Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a total of about 240 miles.:thumbup: Even the salt was gone on almost every road we were on. Now here it is 2 weeks later and it looks like they have "whitewashed" the roads around with salt because of all the miserable stupid snow.:banghead::banghead: Hopefully it will get it out of its system for our trip to Spydefest. Last year we had to leave a day early because of a late Spring snowstorm coming in and it dropped about 8" of heavy wet snow in our area. Again with the :banghead::banghead: :banghead:!!!!!!

So Jim & Chad,
What did you guys end up with in your neck of the woods?
We've only got about 4" of heart-attack snow... and it's misting on top of it. :gaah: We're going to be iced in...

Go South

Just come south for the winter. Solve all those issues of not being able to ride. You can be a professional boat bum/Spyder Addict, develop Keys Disease ect. And die young with a good looking corpse.
Whats wrong with that.;)

The "dying young" part might be an issue...
Driving my Missus NUTZ is a great joy of mine; I'd hate to let somebody else in on the fun! :roflblack:

It's still coming down here and we have probably about 5-6" already. I am sick of this blankety blank blank!!!!:barf::banghead::mad::yikes:

Instead of a new snow shovel for next season; I'm gonna buy me a flamethrower! :2thumbs:

It ought to prove to be a real releaser of pent-up stress! :D

I live on the top of a hill, and we have about 8 inches, and a crust of Ice. It is heart attack snow, so I plowed out a few neighbors on my way back from yet another interview. Took the kids out on the sleds and let them ride around the back yard. Gotta love NY, rode the spyder yesterday, riding the sleds today.
This is why I have the used sleds, I am still getting my fix:yes:

I got my stress test a couple of weeks ago when I shoveled my way through a winter's worth of snowplow accumulation to get the driveway opened up into the new property. The pile was three feet high and eight feet wide, and mostly ice. Took me two half days to knock out a 12' wide path. Today's three inches didn't phase me from a shoveling standpoint, but driving through the horizontal snow for two hours to a meeting today wasn't much fun. I guess that was a stress test, too.....but not for the ticker. Dang, I am getting tired of winter! If I get my hands on that groundhog I'm sure gonna give him a piece of my mind. :D
