• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Amen. You should at least know what country and state you're in. You aren't lost. You just don't exactly where you are.

:agree: I have a gps now since reading a map is difficult on the Spyder. But I miss just going and see what's down that mysterious road. However I've been lost in some cities, and got into some scary neighborhoods.

That's the whole idea of riding, go where you have not gone before and just enjoy the ride. When we are done riding I jut hook up the GPS and press home.

Where does the road go?

I like using the GPS as I ride to see roads I have never traveled before... came upon many a unique place following roads I had never traveled before!

Getting lost is fun. It takes you to the most interesting places.

Except for the time (before GPS) when I got lost in backwoods Arkansas for a day. When the gas tank was almost empty and the evening came... not a nice feeling.... found Berryville eventually.

Got lost in a parking garage. No matter where I turned, I couldn't find the ramp going down. I finally said the heck with it and went up to the roof and started from scratch.......
:opps:

One of the biggest bennies of getting lost IMO, and I've found this out from decades of bicycling as well as Spydering, is you can meet some of the absolutely finest people in the world.

I absolutely so AGREE

Some folks say I'm lost...my theory is I'm headed to a new, great adventure and some awesome encounters. Yep I reallllllly do celebrate that "wrong" turn.
