There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Getting Excited!!

I leave tomorrow morning for the longest motorcycle trip I've ever been on. To date, my longest round trip ride was 3,000 miles, and it was almost 50 years ago, when I truly did have an iron butt.

I am heading to the Titan II PTS Reunion in Tucson AZ . . . I'll take eight days to get there . . . spending two nights in Tennessee at the home of another member of both worlds, involved . . . a guy who has a 2013 RT-S and was also a propellant transfer specialist for the Titan II Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. He was supposed to go to the reunion, too, but could not get two weeks of vacation approved. He will ride as far as Texarkana, with me, however, and then head home to Tennessee. We will meet a guy on a Victory, coming out of Florida, in Texarkana, and then he and I head to Llano, TX. There, we meet two more Spyders, a Harley, and possibly a Wing or two and then the group will spend three days riding a circuitous route to Tucson.

My return, riding alone, will take me to the homes of various cousins and friends in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and hopefully to Springfield, for at least one night so I can meet some folks at SpyderFest . . . can't make reservations, yet, because I don't know what day I will leave Tucson . . . or if I will even head east from there. Someone may convince me there is a road I absolutely have to ride somewhere in Utah or California!

In preparation, I got my 14K service done, almost 4,000 miles early . . . new coolant, brake fluid, plugs (had him change the wires, too) all seemed prudent before jumping off on a 5000 mile trip!

My brother and sister came down to keep my wife company while I'm on the road . . . sure is good they are also both retired!

More to follow as the "Trek to Tucson" progresses . . . :ohyea:

Long ride

I am leaving Monday for Spyderfest and by the time I get back I am thinking I will put around 5k miles on the trike. Then it will
be time for the 14000 mile checkup (a little bit late) and the mystery recall. So far my record milage trip is 5800+ miles when I rode to
Alaska on a Harley in 2006.

I'm SOOO jealous!

Hope you have a good saddle, you and it will know each other very well by the end of this trip.

I can't imagine anything more fun.

Let me know when you are passing thru Little Rock Arkansas and maybe I can ride roundtrip to Texarkana with you guys, I am at exit 123 on I 30.

Your trip

Would you consider....

Start a new thread as you begin the trip, take pictures as you go and post every day or 2 as you go. We'd like to follow your progress as you go. That's the closest I'll go on a trip that long for quite a while.

Road Trip for PTS

Howdy.

As you can see by my pictures, Titan II is in my blood. I was an Instructor Launch Crew Commander and the Wing Public Affairs Officer at Little Rock around 1980 - 84.

Please keep me informed of your route to Llano. I am about two hours East on I-35, south of Austin. Maybe we can meet and share a tea.

Good Ryding.
