There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Getting a Russell Day-Long

GA-SPYDER

New member
Sent the seat off to The folks in Cali. Got a build date of 05/09. They said that I should get it back around the end of May. That's what I get for waiting too long to decide!:(
Rode it from one garage to the other. Sitting on the frame ain't too comfortable. Told the wife that I either had to buy a seat....or sell the :spyder:. 17,000 miles on it, not one more mile! That stock seat is:cus:.

Got the seat back on Friday, put it on Sunday, and got out and rode in the 95 degree heat......and it ain't even Memorial Day yet!
Al I can say about the seat is WOW, why did I wait so long?
Got to get some miles on it.:ohyea:

I am glad you are happy. We love ours that is for sure. It makes those miles so much easier on the tail end and the long rides are far more enjoyable.

:congrats: :2thumbs:

Glad to hear you got it back and were able to get out for a ryde. The heat isn't going away anytime soon. It looks like it will be just as miserable the next few days as it was Sunday and today. Steam sauna hot already, not sure what is up with that.

Thanks, dltang and SpyderWolf.
Went to Spyderpops site today and ordered the "missing air dam" and air management kit. It looks like a REALLY HOT summer this year. Hopefully, these two parts will aid with the :spyder2: heat.

The heat is almost unbearable already this year. I have an ISCI Fan Can on the way for my Spyder, and will be running it with just the SpyderPops MAD. We will have to get together and compare notes after we have a chance to test them out some.

Heat

I live in Charleston, SC and it got 95 today. Rode to Freshfields Village near Kiawah and had lunch then came back. Biscuits were definitely burning by the time I got home!!! :D As my husband says, wait until summer!!!

:agree: The wait until summer is the scary part right now.

You ain't kidding about the heat! Riding home from Myrtle Beach on Sunday was absolutely miserable. I never ride without my jacket, but I had to remove it or die. When Trish and I stopped for lunch (after about only 1-1.5 hours of riding), the minute we entered the restaurant, one waiter said "I'll get you guys some water!" A waitress said "I'll get you some cold wet towels!". The hostess ignored the other patrons and seated us immediately and then went running for her cohorts to tell them where she had put us. I guess we looked as bad as we felt. I sweated so much that my sweat no longer had salt in it, and my helmet stinks (didn't realize until this morning; ewww); I am going to wash the liner this evening. I think I'll check out some of your planned mods.

But of course, the hailstorm I rode through when I was almost home cooled me off... :roflblack:

Send some of that extra heat this way all we are getting is rain, rain and more rain and not much sun or heat either.:yikes::yikes::yikes:

Yesterday was my build date at Day Long (aka Russell Cycle}. Should have the seat on my RT by 6-3. This is the 3rd Day Long seat I've bought. 1st was on my 83 Moto Guzzi California II. 2nd was on my 05 Royal Star Midnight Venture. Unbelievable how well made and comfy these seats are. My RT's seat will have a web stitch similar to the Corbin I'm now using. The Corbin will be up for sale as soon as the Day Long gets here.

Build Date Aug 2

Going to stop and get my Russel Day Long on way to Spyders in Redwood event....everyone talks highly of them...plus they said they could put a fuel "door" like the Corbin has...:2thumbs:

:agree: I was in Guelph yesterday and it was cold and cloudy, got back to Mississauga sunny and warm 45 minutes apart :hun:

Wife told me last night that Augusta set a record, 99, yesterday.:(
Not the kind of record that you want to set!
I'm thinking by the end of june, we should be around 120.:gaah::chill:
I'm wondering what summer will be like for my sons when the get to my age?
Oh well, can't change it. I am still going to get out with the new seat. The little bit that I rode on Sunday is the first time that I had rode in shorts. Didn't realize, after nearly two years of owning and riding, how much heat comes off the right side! I had wrapped the exhaust on the left.

:dontknow: Most people think global warming is a myth so, according to them, the temperatures should be no worse when your boys are older.

There have been times I wished it would rain while ryding in the summer heat here. I also had to abandon wearing my mesh jacket as even that was too hot to wear. I am sure you looked very road weary when you stopped at that restaurant. :D

I have both headers wrapped, but since installing the SFB Racing Floorboards my right foot is right in line with the radiator heat output. The fan can should put a stop to that issue.

Freebob says the lights on my Spyder are the cause of global warming in our area. :roflblack:
