As a fellow noob, I experienced this effect yesterday riding the mountain roads after a passing shower. Could not tell where the moisture was coming from but looks like I will be investing in a rear flap for mine.

The UK gets plenty of the wet stuff so definitely invest in the proper gear for riding in it. Welcome to the world of :ani29:s and be sure to visit often. Cheers!

I did the same 10 minute test ride, but the ride home was only about 35 miles on a 2 lane road, white knuckle time. But I made it and now have 25K miles on my 2012 RT-S. I wouldn't go back to 2 wheels now.

50 mile trip home this morning and then another 30 miles with wife in board. The first 10 miles was no fun but then things slowly started to gel and it started to go where I wanted to go. Great fun and all in the dry.
