There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Any suggestions on replacing the the stock grips? I fined that the oem grips can fatigue your hands after a while. I ride with relaxed hands so that isnt the cause. What should I look for in a new grip? Thanks for the help

I replaced my grips with the all black Kuryakyn ISO grips with throttle boss. I think they feel much better than the factory grips.

"GRIP PUPIES" MIGHT BE THE ANSWER

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. THE HANDS CAN GET TIRED FROM JUST HANGING ON, EVEN WITH A RELAXED GRIP. I ALSO FOUND THAT THE :spyder2: GRIPS WERE TOO SMALL IN DIAMETER. I HAVE USED "GRIP PUPPIES" ON MY LAST FOUR BIKES. THEY SLIP ON OVER THE STOCK GRIPS, ARE SOFT, AND INCREASE THE DIAMETER FOR US FOLKS WITH LARGE HANDS. AND ..... THEY TRANSFER THE HEAT FROM HEATED GRIPS WELL. YOU'LL LIKE 'EM. CapNCrunch

I als got the same Kuryakan grios witht he throttle assist mnetioned above and love them. I was having cramping inmy hands before I got them and it helped me relax my grip and ride more comfortabley. I wear and XL glove so I needed them and my wife does not mind the bigger grips either.

They sound good where can I get them? Thanks

Just google Grip Buddies...easy to find.

Grip buddies and Grip puppies are 2 different products. I've used both. Grip puppies are under $10. They do what CApnCrunch says. I liked them alot . However I did wear them out in one riding season.
Grip buddies are $25. They tout being waterproof, which they are. They do cushion the grip just like Puppies do. However, I wore mine out in about 4 months. I liked them but at $25, I think they should last longer. Plus, I really didn't think they were any more comfortable than the Puppies. So I am back to the Grip Puppies.
Just my opinion.

Understand. My Grip Buddies (left grip) wore badly (prematurely IMO) and the dealer sent me (for half price) a pair of his "new and improved" Sharkskin Buddies. Haven't installed them yet...probably today, so I really don't know if they will last longer than the original ones or not.

Do you have any experience with Reggie's (Tricled) soft grip covers?

Sorry, I can't help you there.

Leather Grip Wrap....

I did not want fatter grips so I looked for leather grip wraps as used for bats, rackets, etc. Bought some from Academy Sports and wrapped the oem grips.
Worked out nice and so far holding up great.

I think Lamont has documented an install for the Kuryakyan Clam shell grips. I want to improve the looks as well as the comfort and they seem to meet both. Apparently the heat comes through but you will need to use high most of the time.

I did the same with rubber type tennis racket wrap, the kind with small holes. Have used them over a year now with no appreciable wear.

I also have the Küryakyn ISO Grips. They make a pair that clamps on over your existing grips. They are a clam-shell design, splitting in half and then screwing together & are designed for the Goldwing with heated grips. To fit them on the RT, you have to first trim the rubber flanged part off the ends of the RT heated grips. After this, they are a tight fit, but will clamp together. No glue is needed.

Take a look at this. Lamont has detailed the installation with great pics: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?25394-Kuryakyn-Grips-on-the-RT-(with-heat)

Note: These are LARGE grips, larger than the standard ISO grip, which are already larger than many stock grips. Some folks may find they are too big to be comfortable.

Get grip

Thanks for all the input I bought the grip puppies, a little hard to put on phone with patients I made it. I have noticed Since putting them on that I have to modify my Throttle control pressures. They're a lot more comfortable.
Thanks again everyone
