There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A battery charger cable uses an SAE plug. Two terminals, with one exposed male and one rubber encased female. It usually has a rubber cap that covers the terminals, so it may not look like what I described at first glance. A heated gear cable uses a coaxial cable, usually equipped with a rubber male plug to keep it from being exposed. There are adapters available to go from one to another.

My Gerbing connectors are hooked directly to the battery posts on both Spyders & my Goldwing. I use them for my battery tenders and have built a standard 12v female connector (i.e. cigarette lighter receptacle) that connects to them as well. This gives me a 15A plug that'll power whatever I plug into it, like my air compressor. I have zip-tied it to the cable running to the passenger seat under the saddle & stuff them down that same square hole when not in use.

As Scotty says, you can get adapters from single plug to two amd vice versa. The charger adapter comes with something like a 3 amp fuse. Gerbing gear needs at least 10 and maybe 15, depending on how much electrically heated gear you are using. On their web site, they have the different draw of jackets, gloves, etc, as well as adapters.

No sweat! Use this Powerlet adapter or a Gerbing equal. http://www.powerlet.com/product/coax-male-to-sae-cable/54 You can also get a coax to cigarette adapter or coax to Powerlet adapter if that works better for you.

I didn't know there were such adapters and rewired a Batt Tender with one of the Gerbing plugs a couple years ago when I got the RT. Trouble with this is the tender can be only used on the Can Am.
