• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

General ryding question

Glad to hear that it was a successful trip!
I don't think that anyone addressed the issue of the bike beeping at you after it's been turned off:
Engage your parking brake, and all will be silent.
The bikes with "ESSIE" transmissions, have an engagement clutch that is free when the engine isn't spinning.
If you parked on an incline with the parking brake off (even in gear!), it would roll away! nojoke

I've been pushing down the parking brake, that's why I don't understand the beeping :)

I've tried pushing it after I put it to off, before, I turn it to off, it still beeps! Eventually the bike will stop beeping, but I wish I knew how to stop it in the first place :)

Thanks, Bob!

The RTs have a light in the display to show that the parking brake has been engaged.
Does your bike have one?
(I would bet that it does... :D)
Perhaps it needs some adjustment of some sort, to help it "get into the game" a bit easier.

I figured it would, but I didn't notice anything lighting up and we were looking. I'll go out back and look in the manual. It's time to clean it off anyway.

Okay. Figured it out. I was holding the button down for the emergency break. You need to tap it quickly and let go. It has stopped beeping at me!

...Looking at an RS manual: I think that it sits in the Analog Tachometer display, right about at where the 5500 rpm level is reached...

We are on Long Island, but the Spyder is at our other house in PA that we go to often. If you are ever in the Lancaster area, let me know. We will be in PA for the summer.
