There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Gear shift almost impossible 2020 Ryker 900 Rally

I just purchased a 2020 Ryker 900 Rally.
When the engine is on the bike crawls either forward or backward depending on which gear it is on. I assumed that was OK.
But when you want to change gear you either have to turn the engine off or let the bike roll then pull or push.
With the bike running there is no way to change gear regardless of whether the parking brake is on or off.
The bike currently has just over 100 miles on the odometer.
As per the dealer once the bike has some more milage the problem will go away.
I gave that some credibility but when after collection I found out that they had not bothered to check the tire pressure, the handle bars were slightly crooked and the gearbox did not have enough oil, I think I do not trust them.
I am getting the feeling that CVT is not releasing properly in standstill while idling conditions.

You are correct in the assumption that something is not releasing properly and is putting a load on the drive line. First thing I would do is test ride another bike and see if it acts the same way. I bet it won't. If you have another dealership near by have them check it out. It is a new machine under warranty so a different dealership may not be happy about looking at it, but if you tell them that all your future business will be theirs that may help. I have ridden and worked on a lot of two wheelers with CVT drive systems and I have never had one creep when the engine is running. You spent a lot of money on this machine and it should be working properly. Do not let some salesman or other person tell you "they all do that" or "it will go away." Key word here is WARRANTY. Make them fix it.

Is it idling to high ? The clutch is not disengaging or the belt is to tight and the secondary would need to be adjusted .It should be similar to a sled .

This one is for the history books. I just established that during assembly someone forgot to install the roller bearing that allows the engine to run during idle without turning the driven pulley. The belt is running on the shaft without a bearing hence the constant creep and inability to change gear while engine runs. Unbelievable.

Thanks for telling us, & I put a 'Thanks' up there too!

Not sure I could ever say I LIKED a post conveying news like that tho! :banghead: :gaah:
